Absolutely, with the lower budgets on a lot of the older horror films the director had to depend more on the free things like light and shadows to make the viewer use his or her imagination. The scares aren't what most people are used to nowadays, but the movie is worth renting.

Kind of slow moving but still tense. Great "Noir" atmosphere. Better than the remake. Yes. I recomend it.

I saw the 80's remake. Didn't know there was an original...I'd have to rent it!
