Most hardware stores have a substance that will kill nuisance trees. Don't remember the name but if you ask they will know what it is.

You will need to either drill a hole or chop out a wedge in the tree to apply the stuff.

I understand it is environmentally "naughty" to do this but a friend from work said he put used engine oil in the hole of a tree and it killed it. The tree will die and in two or three years need to be removed so as not to fall on anyone or anything.

You might be able to get rid of it by placing an ad in one of the advertising sections. There are always people looking for firewood and if you are lucky you won't have to pay a penny to get rid of it.
Just make sure they know what they are doing so it doesn't land on your buildings.

Good luck.

Firstly, it won't do any good. Won't kill the mites and will damage their skin. Unfortunately the only thing that will work is the prescription treatment. Because the mites are under the skin, the head lice treatment won't reach them unless you practically drown your kids in it! Scabies are found in between the fingers and toes, and then after that in the creases or elbows and knees, anywhere warm and hard to wash. Is there a possibility that you and your daughter have caught chicken pox or measles from someone? If the bumps are all over and your daughter is unwell in herself as well it sounds more like that sort of thing. If you really can't afford a doctor, try NHS direct online. It's a UK site, but will help you diagnose what you both have and give you self help ideas. Good luck.

Buttermilk works! Cut grooves into tree at various angles or even better drill holes into tree and fill with buttermilk. Use common masking tape to wrap. Make sure they are deep.

I can't believe a two year old tree would be too difficult to kill without chemicals. Run it over with your truck.

Yes... there is a poison that you can use.. You use a drill and drill a small hole(several of them) in the trunk of the tree.. put the poison inside the holes and let death take its course.. that will kill the tree... then after it is dead, you can take a saw and cut the branches(two year old t ree is not that big)

girdle it. That means to cut a circle completely around the tree bark, which will stop nutrients from getting to the top. It will die, then saw it down. The only problem you might have is growth from the stump - there are brush killers that will do that also, but be careful with them.

How large can a two year old sapling be? Why need chemicals? Just dig around and pull the darn tree out.

Drive a steel rod into the ground near the trunk, do this about ten times, then fill the holes with rock salt. Dead tree.

Spray tons of weed killer and bug spray. Even try bleach, ammonia, windex, anything. Use lots and lots of lethal/unhealthy chemicals.

you could girdle it, but you still will have to cut it down after it's dead, maybe someone will cut it down free for the fire wood
