ok well right now i got a layer of newspaper on bottom with aspen bedding ontop of that but my mom bought this grass stuff that grows in the aquarium and i wanted to know if that would be better if anyone has used this for thier boa let me know how it worked plz. but i do have plenty of aspen bedding to so im sticking with that till i know how the grass stuff will work. its suppose to be for reptiles but let me know if u guys have any experince plz

Very nice looking stuff. I see a couple of problems with it though. Substrates that are more natural like this tend to be very difficult to clean. So even though they look awesome...they can be harbingers of bacteria and molds...and cleaning snake poop from it without damaging the substrate won't be easy. Leaving any urates behind will allow the bacteria to thrive. The only shavings I use are for all the rodents and the dog kennels.

Dude, cleaning the crap off the grass is going to be a
big pain in the you know where, you gotta make sure
you clean everything off. You don't want bacteria growth.
I keep all my snakes on newspaper. Very easy to keep clean.
Been doing that for the past seven years, after using other
substrates.

All of my Boa's have been on just plain newspaper. No problems from that yet!!
