Simple answer: "might is right!" B ush and his cohorts have been able to cajole and bully the so-called 'alliance of the willing' to do his bidding - soverignty of independent nations be damned! Further, the victors could claim all rights and spoils. In any case, the USA has arrogated to itself the right to interfere in every nation's affairs and to force upon others its form of "democracy" As events now proved. the USA has taken on more than it can swallow and its reasons to topple Saddam all wrong and immoral.

Sorry, I must have missed something. When exactly did Saddam Hussein suppress terrorism? He was responsible, as Head of State, for the gassing of at least 5000 Kurds in 1988 - but no one has ever suggested they were terrorists. The Shia Muslims from around Basra? Saddam drained the waterways and destroyed their way of life and economy. Terrorists? I think not. These people were fellow Iraqis who had the strange idea that, in spite of religious and/or ethnic differences, they were entitled to live as equals in Iraq.

What the powers that be, whoever they are, are going to do with him now is a real dilemma.

observing particularly some the previous solutions jogs my memory that people who shout loudest have the least to declare and the main to cover. The Iraqis that Saddam killed have been many times killed with the conivance and appoval of england and u . s ., no longer that Britain has had an self sustaining voice for years, and we killed many with the sanctions we imposed on Iraq, which the politicians knew and probable was hoping may be the case, so as that they'd portray what were their murderous tyrant as now an self sustaining murderous tyrant. try looking in the back of the headlines, a number of you.

"both suppressed terrorism"

Well, it's true in a way that Saddam suppressed terrorism. He did not permit terrorism while he was Iraq's leader, except for the terrorism that he himself practiced or ordered his military to practice. So he suppressed terrorism, but he also practiced it.

George Bush has made strides toward suppressing terrorism in this country since 9/11, and has been pretty successful so far.

The people running our legislative branch are Republicans who are allowing the Bush regime to do whatever they want unchecked. Obviously, the Justice Department is under Bush's control and run by like-minded criminals, so they will do nothing either. If the Republicans are unable to steal another election this Tuesday, the Democrats will have the power to at least start conducting investigations into what has happened so far, and hopefully this will one day lead to putting Bush, Cheney, and numerous other Republicans on trial for their crimes. These crimes may include treason against the United States, and the crime of treason can be punished by the death penalty.

Legally, there is nothing stopping Bush from being prosecuted for his crimes, and hopefully one day that will happen. No one is above the law. The only potential obstacle is that in the U.S., the President is allowed to pardon people for their crimes, including crimes they have not yet been accused or convicted of (but not future crimes that they have not yet committed). So, shortly before 12:00 noon on January 20, 2009, Bush may pardon himself and his fellow criminals for any crimes committed during his illegal presidency. Or if a Republican is elected to the presidency in 2008 or at any future time, that person can pardon Bush.

But even Bush does pardon himself, there is nothing stopping him from being questioned once he is out of office, and if he lies, he can be prosecuted for purjury and put in jail. I truly hope that Bush and his crime family will one day be punished for their crimes. We need to do this to prevent the Republicans from ever trying to do this again.

Manifest Destiny,,,, Bush had God and the Evangelicals on his side. We all wait to see if the Evangelicals still sit on his revered right after the latest debacle concerning their own fallen from grace president Tim Haggart. Bush has claimed God as his political counter part and Allie from the git go but thus far no one (including this card carrying liberal) has been able to get a direct confirmation from God verifying this claim. If some one out their can attest to the veracity of Dubua's claim, please report to your local nut house as they have quota's to maintain.

Because "Bush" did not do anything on his own,
The American Congress, both houses, and all party members from both sides all voted to go to war, and they still continue to pass the budget to pay for the way.

So our nation all together has decided to go to war.

And what we are doing freeing a nation has no comparison to what Saddam does
