After birth what were some of the things you did to differentiate between your identical twins?

Hi! I have 10 month old identical twin girls. Here's what we did:

-We assigned them each colors. One has green the other has purple.

-We painted one's toe purple.

-We always (well, almost always) put the same one on the left. This really helps us now when we're trying to figure out who is who in photos.

-We had different infant car seats and always put them in the same ones.

Pretty much it came down to consistency. Always putting the same one in the same side of the crib, same bouncy seat, same car seat, same side of the stroller, etc.

Now, we're able to tell them apart easily (even if no one else can). Hope this helps!

Hey,
I don't have identical twins but a friend of mine did.......She would put bloomers over there diapers with their names on it, and then she would put a certain color pacifier in one's mouth, and another color in the other....But congratulations with your twins, I wish I was having twins.....I am only having one......It looks like I got twins already, I got a 2 year old and a 1 year old and due in May!!!

I Have twin boys and what me and my husband did was make little bracelets with their names on it and we put them on their ankles. We never dressed them in the same outfits we usually put one in green and one in blue. Well I hope this helps you out some.

One was just a little bigger so that helped. I dressed them in different colors, usually green and blue. Sometimes red and blue. To this day the one I put in red loves red and the one I dressed in blue loves blue.

They are 21, now.

I have heard of colored bracelets (made of yarn), nail polish, or you can get those binky ties, the ones that clip on to their clothes with different colored binkys, also maybe each time you change them write their first initial (or something else) on their diaper with a marker.

Good luck and enjoy
