I grew up just outside of Phoenix, in Mesa. I now live in Tucson. It a great place, minus the traffic and the heat!
I sure hope you have a job that keeps you inside! The heat during the summer is unbearable. Invest in a good sun shade for your car, and keep a towel under your seat for those days when your seat belt and steering wheel are too hot to touch!
The other 8 months out of the year it is beautiful though! Perfect for running and biking, and just a short drive to the Salt River for tubing and lakes for jet skiing and boating!
You are also just a few hours from Flagstaff, where you can ski in the winter!

I've lived here for seven years now and love it. I lived in the Los Angeles area for 11 years before this and the Bay area for 11 before that. It is trying to be like California in some areas, especially Scottsdale, but I wouldn't live any where else.

I have been there on and off during the years but it would not be my choice to live there it gets very hot there in the summer and does not cool down at night. Lots of bugs I don't like.bugs
/winter is pretty cold I don't believe they have snow at least I don't remember ever being there in winter and seeing snow but it gets cold enough to snow. It could be you will like it not everyone likes the same things

Lived in Chandler for 6 years, and I loved it! Now I'm in FL and it is so blessed humid here!

Pheonix sucks! It has an identity crisis...at some point it got it in it's head that it was Los Angeles. It's not. But shi* it's better then Tucson!
