On the back of my DVD it said PG but on the official trailer it said PG-13. I'm confused!

The Internet Movie Database lists the certification as PG for the US. Remember things can change between the release of the trailer and the actual theatrical release of the film. There could have been edits made or Mel Brooks could have appealed the PG-13 rating and had it subsequently changed.

Remember though, the movie it was released in 1987 - PG in 1987 is pretty mild, although I do agree there are a lot of sexual references, although they are fairly dated and I'm not sure most kids would 'get' them. 'Schwartz' and so on.

How funny - A Mel Brooks film just started on the channel I am watching (Blazing Saddles) - already took my sleeping pill though - I'll have to watch Harvey Korman being Hed*L*ey Lamarr another time. (The african-american railroad workers are getting the white cowboys to *show* them how to sing a spiritual)

Gotta go -

Jen

When it came out in 1987 it was and still is rated PG in the US and many other countries.
I had to answer this question because a friend of mine is in it. He played one of the Dink's. Just in case you want more info on this movie here's a site that will tell you anything you could want to know about it.
