I live in TX so my vote NEVER counts and candidates ignore my area and it causes voter apathy. Is it fair that a few states get to decide the President, or is my free speech (my vote) being suppressed? I understand that smaller states get more clout in this situation, but at what cost? What are your opinions on this and try to convince me otherwise if possible b/c it really pisses me off.

Voting is a form of free speech, I was using a bit of poetic license.
I understand the concept of an electoral college, but it lets the majority in an area overshadow the minority in a particular area. I just think the popular vote would truly mean that every vote would count.
