I don't think I can say either way. I've been at the Stardust for conventions over the last 4 years, and the place was quite run down. I feel more for the personnel who spent years working at the Stardust. It's sad to them since they have been there throughout the years. I know that the new Echelon will definitely be a bigger and brighter hit, and hopefully, so will the tourists. Just an FYI, I live in Las Vegas and drive past the Stardust everyday. The property owners took 2 days to turn off the markee, and it kind of makes me sad with it being dark.

I did enjoy playing at the Stardust, for years they had my favorite Video Poker. On the other hand they always build them back bigger and better. The only one that really shocked me, was when Steve Wynn bought the Desert Inn and tore it down. You can't really complain about Wynn though, it's one incredible place...

At the grand opening of Bellagio a writer said "I hope I live long enough to see them implode this place". Another writer warned him "be careful what you wish for, this is Las Vegas" .
