November 17, 2006. The 60GB version system costs 600 dollars and the 20GB version of the system costs 500 dollars. If your planning on getting one, pre-orders have ended and Sony is shipping a very limited supply (about 400,000 units). People will be camping out a few days in front of stores before launch day to get in line, so unless your a hardcore gamer, you will have to wait at least a few months later to receive one (go for the Nintendo Wii instead).
