I strongly urge that everyone watch " Obsession-The Threat from Radical Islam ". It's a new documentary. It was featured on Fox tonight. They did 1 hour of interviews and film-clips from the new movie. Before anyone jumps to conclusions, Fox didn't produce it. It was the product of an independent. And there was no room for commentary. It was film footage from Al Queda, Palestinian TV, Iranian TV, Al Jazeera and others. Nothing to 'make-up' nothing to 'twist' or 'spin'. Shocking !!!!!!!! Get ready to 'pick your jaw off of the floor'.

How far am I willing to go? Well I WENT so far as to 'join the Army in 1981 to fight Iranian Terrorists that had kidnapped and held American Hostages' . that's how Far I'm willing to go.

Anyone who hasn't seen 100's of examples of this, just isn't on Y/A very much at all. It happens many times within the same question !!!! And the rest of the democrats here, know it.

The terrorists have been 'hellbent' on destroying us for more than 30 years. They have gradually gotten better and better. This is not something to joke or arfue about. This goes beyond our 'political' differences.

The real fear-mongering is the idea that the right wing puts forward that we have to give up our freedom and rights in order to fight the terrorists. Democrats want eavesdropping for example, they just want it done legally with warrants which can be obtained up to a week or so after the eavesdropping has commenced.

What is the point of defeating the terrorists if we ourselves destroy the very things that make America great in order to "win"?

I've never heard a Democrat say that. I've heard right-wing radio show hosts accuse them of saying it, but I've never heard it from an actual Dem. The Democratic party understands that there is a threat from Islamic terrorists. They just think that the Bush White House has done a poor job. By starting a war in Iraq and letting Osama escape, nothing of any substance has been done. There is a threat, but the Republicans play on our fears for political gain. They don't want Americans to feel safe. They think that if we're scared, we'll vote Republican.

Look what Clinton did to the military while he was in office even though there were attacks on US interests around the world. He did not take them seriously. no one i know says there's no such thing as terrorism but you can not wage conventional war on guerrilla tactics. the war on Iraq has absolutely nothing to do with stopping terrorism. it is in fact, according to GW Bush's own intelligence agencies, acerbating the problem.
