is it worth starting to play football in 11th grade? i wish i had played my whole life but thats something i will have to live with. i want to know, how hard would it be to start playing in 11th grade? i would play saftey if i do but will i be able to catch up to those who know all the plays and stuff like that? or is it not worth trying.....

It's always worth playing football, whether in 1st or 12th. Go for it. Just apply yourself to the practices and the playbook. The coach will always notice a player that gives his all.

Besides the usual preparation of lifting some weights and getting your 40 yard dash time down, your most serious disadvantage is knowledge of the game - that will require some library time.

Start with learning your position - and watch some college football games to get an idea of the overall strategy.

If you want to play safety, your biggest problem is going to be pass interference, you have to play like you're the receiver until the real receiver catches the ball - then you'll have to become instant tackler. Go for the ball, not the other player, and you might have a chance.

If you have talent, you'll make a contribution by your senior year.

Go for it dude. I also waited but until I was a senior. My coach told my brother(later on) that had I played all through high school I could have had a scholarship......so just do it!

If it's in your heart it is ALWAYS worth trying.It's been in my heart since I was sitting on my daddys lap.I'm now 47.Only problem,I was born a girl.You have a great advantage.GO FOR IT!
I'm glad to say my pop & me sit side by side to this day,every season.

yes but dont look forward to like getting a scholarship 4 it but u never know try it
