I've lived in cold (around zero) and very hot climates (+45 degrees Celsius) and both extremes can be hard to cope with.
After a couple of weeks of adaptation (it only goes so far) the rest is just coping with what ever is sent.
I don't think cold weather is what really bothers people but more in climates where the sun doesn't shine much (sad syndrome).
Cold desert places have the sun shining which is more conducive to positive emotions than never ending rain/drizzle.
I have really hot weather where I live and its basically the same problem of not wanting to be outside as for cold rainy weather, except i can't take my skin off to get cooler, at least when its cold you can rug up.
I go to Tasmania to cool off on summer holidays, I love it.
The good thing about warm climates though is the extra wildlife, animals are more biodiverse in warmer less temperate climates (I'm a Zoologist)

I live in New York city and it is so cold right now. Actually I'm really hate cold weather because I'm gotta wear a lot of clothes and it is hard to do any outdoor action. I'm gonna turn on my heater and it was so dry to my skin. So, hot weather is better than cold weather.

I love cold weather. I don't mind bundling up at all. It's not that cold where I live. I live in southeast VA where the temp is 30 F right now. The coldest temp I have ever seen is 7 degrees and it wasn't that bad. I had 2 layers of clothes on and wasn't even that cold. Once it gets above 70, i start being uncomfortable.

I live in Alabama, and a lot of people don't even believe that it gets cold here, but you will be surprised . When it is Hot outside, I wish that it is cold. When it is cold outside I wish that it is hot. I am a spring or fall chick. One thing that I do like about the winter is my hair grows and it holds cruels longer. It is so hot in the summer time that you are always sweating and my hair falls. Another thing I like about the winter time is that people are covered up. Those people that wear too little clothes are covered up. And those clothes that we just don't want to see on certain people while they are out in public are pushed to the back of the closet. I also think that the winter time is a greater time for romance. Yeah! I would have to say that I like the winter. My birthday is in the winter time, and my favorite holiday is Christmas.

Yes it's a lot of fun dressing up and keeping warm. Where I live, it gets down to 40 below in the winter sometimes (actual temperature). If you add the windchill, it's about 60 or 70 below on some January mornings.

It can get into the teens °F in April and even May. In May 2005 it got down to 12°F here!
Our summer nights are cool (50's). But some summer nights in rare cases may dip into the 30's. 2004 was a bad year. We had lows of 33 degrees four times in the summer - once in June, once in July and twice in August! I live in a COLD place!

Well I live in Edmonton, It can get top -35 C in winter. At leats a few weeks of the year we have to plug in our block heaters for the cars. Yet as much as other people in Eastern Canada think we are always cold - it really is not that bad. Only if it it windy does it fell cold. This is a dry climate not humid so that helps

Are you kidding?!? I LOVE cold weather!!!! I live in Ottawa and I love it when it gets cold in fall, and to see it snow in winter is so beautiful. It is also really fun to play in the snow but then down side is that even if you wear a snow suite you still get really really cold and wet. But the good thing about beign cold is that when you get back inside you can curl up on the couch and drink hot tea ir hot chocolate. I guess i also enjoy the summer too... tanning, swimming, the beach..... I sound crazy, but when it is too hot I would die for it to be cold, but then when it is too hot I'm always wishing for summer to come already.

I live in Cleveland, Ohio, USA... It can get pretty chilly in the winter... (below 0F) but I love the cold weather... I love being able to snuggle up with a blanket, a cup of hot chocolate, and a good movie and just relax... Everything seems so prestine and clean when there's fresh snow... of course... it's different after the plow comes...
I'm moving farther north for college (Vermont), so you can tell I like the cold. :)
