I've read that your digestive system slows down so that it can absorb more of the nutrients from the food you eat while pregnant. If that's the case then why am I having a bowel movement like 1-2 times a day? It's like everything is working overtime now. I don't get it. Pre-pregnant I went go to the bathroom like once every 2 or 3 days.

I am cracking up at all your answers. Thanks for being serious though and leading me to some definite reasons why this is happening.

You have a child now taking up a lot of your abdominal cavity, leaving less room for full bowels. You'll find that the urinary bladder will protest, too. Welcome to the mysteries of being pregnant.

I don't know why but the same thing happened to me. I had infrequent bowel movements when I wasn't pregnant and during both of my pregnancies had more frequent bowel movements. After having my second baby I started eating a lot more fiber and drinking a lot of water and that has helped. Good luck.

Just be happy you are having bowel movements!! If you weren't then you would really have something to worry about. I am 35 weeks pregnant and have the same problem too, but the doctor told me not to worry unless I wasn't having bowel movements. Good luck!!!

Are you eating differently? What is the consistency of your stool? Perhaps you are drinking more water now? Wow I guess I'm not really helpful here tonight. I went about once a day too, unless I was constipated, which SUCKS let me tell you. Just thank your stars you're going more and not constipated LOL

I don' t know how far along you are but from like 4-6 weeks with me I was the same way. I don' t think you need to worry but make sur to drink a lot of water and keep yourself hydrated.

sounds normal to me. 1-2 times a day is normal. once every 2-3 days is not. maybe you are just eating better or eating more now.

the form that seems to love me the least, haha. i'm Asian, yet I desire non-Asian women. No takers, nonetheless. In a twist of irony the Asian women do unlike me, the two, with the aid of fact i'm no longer a great-wealthy uppity-up, Ivy-League dude with greasy hair and a Mercedes. Plus, I in basic terms talk English. maximum Asians desire their community tongue whilst it is composed of deeper conversations, and that makes it complicated to get particularly intimate with an Asian lady for me (no longer that i've got tried). I desire non-Asian women. communicate a pair of vicious cycle! i understand maximum people who examine this would be like, "Eew!" yet to no longer subject. i'm failing miserably.

Did you change your diet? Are you eating more fruits and vegetables? Are you eating more fibre. Are you just eating more? Bowels can also be affected by hormonal changes.
