I'm due on the 21st of this month and my butt feels like it's on fire! I have several hemmorhoids that have developed and I don't know how to become more comfortable. Thanks for any advice.

That is so painful. Try not to sit or stand too much, it will help relieve the pressure. Tucks pads, preperation H, stool softeners will all help. If it is too bad, ask your OB/midwife for something to help them.

first, get a prescription for stool softeners from your OB or buy them over the counter at wal-mart. just get the stimulant free ones.
take one 1-2 times a day. my baby is almost 2 months old and i still take 1 a day!

as for those nasty little buggers. just stick a tucks pad inbetween your cheeks and that should help put out the fire. there's some numbing creams, too or numbing spray like dermablast.

take care!

This is the norm for some pregnant women. I didn't experience this, but my sis did. I hate to say, but this will end after your pregancy around your new baby's 6 weeks of age. Keep alot of Tucks with you at all times. Make sure that you increase your fiber intake & water intake. This will help you have a smoother bm.

try using a cold witch hazel compress. witch hazel is a natural anti-inflammatory. i have also heard it works wonders after giving birth to reduce pain and swelling of the vagina. plus for the hemmorhoids drink lots and lots of water, eat lots and lots of fruit and veggies to keep things smooth. good luck and i hope you feel better soon.

I know this sounds bad, but you can use an over the counter suppository. It should take care of some of the swelling and discomfort until you can soften your bowels. Take in more fruit than fiber right now. That's about all you can do!! Congrats and my best wishes to a fast and easy delivery!

HOT COMPRESSES ON THE BOOTY!!!! USE A WARM WASHCLOTH, AS WARM AS YOU CAN, THE HEAT SHRINKS THEM. ANUSOL IS ALSO WAY BETTER THAN PREPARATION H. GOOD LUCK WITH IT, AND REALLY TRY THE HOT WASHCLOTH.
