WHY didn't Logan just give Jean a dose of the cure instead of STABBING HER? And omg... I can't wait for X-Men 4. But I think they're dragging it a little bit... maybe... Oh, and please don't yell at me because I don't like the ending of a movie. This is my opinion- and I think you should be able to express yours without all caps, curse words, or sharp language.

Yah, I know it says LAST STAND but they can't show Magneto getting his powers back without letting us expect another movie. So... yah.

yeah....you are absolutely right! they should have given her a dose of the cure....but anyway, i think logan and jean aren't really meant for each other and jean killed the man she loved so there is no exact reason for her to live now....that's why they just stabbed her :)

1 - I thought that by far it is the best Marvel film that I have ever seen. 2 - A) i think he only had it done because he had the option to, by the end of this movie he is terrified that Iron Man is ruining his life, so he thinks that if he has the arc reactor removed then he would be more of a person B) he is saying that Pepper had only one problem which was the extemis virus in her and that he has a lot of problems and just getting help for one C) yes the arc reactor is the most iconic part of Tony Stark, but also just iron man, if you remember, the war machine (iron patriot) has the Arc reactor just installed into the suit rather than James Rhodes actually having one in his chest, I think that this suggests that maybe there will be one more marvel film with Iron Man, which will most likely be Avengers 2 3 - I think that it isn't something that we can expect because iron man is the man in the iron suit and if they have another marvel film with iron man then it might ruin it. I did never read the comics though, so this is just my opinion, I don't know if they did it in the comics 4 - I think that there will be at least one more marvel film with RDJr 5 - his contract ended with Iron Man 3, but I think they any extend it so they can do one more avengers, I can imagine that they have extended all the avengers actors contracts as they are making sequels to Thor and Captain America as well as Avengers 6 - I don't think that there will be anymore Iron Man movies but there will be more Avengers movies, but then again, only time will tell if they decide to make more, but I really hope that they do. 7 - I think that Iron Man 3 was the best film I've seen in a long time, there were loads of twists in it that were totally unexpected, like the end part with Pepper and the person we thought the mandarin was, wasn't actually him just an actor, totally shocked!

I have to agree that the ending of the movie was a bomb. Killing all the good characters and leaving a dull scene of x-men future.
The main reason they did this was because this is the third and final x-men. The trilogy. Hints, the last stand.
In my own opinion, I think it was the worst of the three.
If you think about it, Jean could read Logans mind knowing he was going to claw her.
And yes, I thought he was going to use the cure too, yikes!

I think it is good that he killed her. Even if he had given her the cure, it is not permanent. According to the comic books, the phoenix (jean grey) returns many times. There is going to an X-men 4. However, it has NONE of the older x-men. It only involves the development of the younger x-men.

I thought Jean's death scene was way too long and made me drowsy and bored because it was TOOOOO long.
As for the 3 "alternate" endings: they all were stupid and not legitament alternate endings, just stuff they shot so they could stick them on the DVD for better rental numbers; since so many ppl saw it in the theatre.
it wasn't as good as I thought it would be and I soooooo can wait until the 4th.
Don't get me wrong, I'll still watch it, but I can wait.

Or, why did they copy the ending word for word, scene for scene from the season finale of Buffy The Vampire Slayer when Dark Willow threatened to destroy the world and only her best friend Xander could talk her out of by invoking his fraternal love for her?

three wasnt as good as 1 and 2 but there isnt gonna be a fourth...there's only gonna be solo movies, the next one is gonna be all about Wolverine and then so on from there, pretty much focusing on the main characters one movie at a time

the ending was such a set up for xmen 4 -- not as bad as the end of the last starwars where they had to have luke and leah born and shipped off and darth vader in his big black suit in the last 2 mins, but close to it.

the "cure" was only a "band-aid" if you remember at the very end Magneto got his powers back, and with the Professor dead there was no one to control her once they did come back.
