I had started to work full time and I didn't have anyone to watch him my husband and I lived apart so I let him move with his father at the end of march 2006 I want to get him back what can I do they only allow me to see him once a week there is no legal papers we both have the same amount of custody

If you have joint custody, then all arrangements are supposed to be by consensus. You need to go back to court for an order to equalize access. "They" have no rights at all. Only you and the dad have such rights. If you are not, or not yet, divorced, then there is even less right to deprive you of access.

If you cannot afford an attorney there is a lot of free help available. The rights of the child are paramount; if the child is past the age of reason his or her views must be taken into account.

Always come across as reasonable, never hysterical. Let the other side be seen as unreasonable, self-contradictory, vindictive. If that is the case.

if your not divorced, there is nothing you can do. if your divorced, get a lawyer to get him back.
