Chipotle-Mashed Sweet Potatoes, Cranberry-Nut Pilaf. I also marinade my turkey with a roasted red chili and pineapple mixture. I roast the the chilies and throw them in a blender with pineapple and the juice. I also make hot chocolate with Peppermint Schnapps, whipped cream and I add a candy cane for garnish. I love Thanksgiving and love putting together different and exciting things for the table.

I love seafood!
Oysters are a hit at my family Thanksgiving parties. Baked or raw, perferably baked if there are kids.
A nice and fresh grilled Alaskan halibut, or baked in a broth, a bit expensive but worth it if you know how to cook it right.
A variety of shrimp plate, grilled, fried, cocktail, with lemon, with garlic, with both, even kabobs! Make sure you have cocktail, ranch, and thousand island sauce when you serve it.
Dessert, Key Lime Cheesecake, or a sweet lemon bunt cake (that's what I had last year). Have fun!

Mashed turnip is one of my favorites as is green bean casserole. I don't like turkey so my mom always makes me ziti and I have that along w/ the regular side dishes. What about sweet potato pie?
