Contact the credit bureaus and tell them you believe your ID was stolen - they'll put a hold on your credit report so if anyone tries to access it, you will be informed. You only need to contact one of the three - they automatically contact each other.
Also obtain a free copy of your credit report - the government requires you be given a copy once a year on request. You cannot be charged for this service. (See the link below). It's a good idea to do this anyway, even if you haven't had your ID stolen.
BEWARE of services that advertise a 'free report' in exchange for signing up to some monitoring or other service - these are NOT free reports, you'll have to pay.
When you get the report, check if anything looks suspicious - accounts you haven't opened for example. If there is any such activity, contact your local police and the credit report company.
People search and other such services use public records - just as you could do - to find information about people. These include court and state/federal records that must be released under the freedom of information laws. However, certain information, such as your social security number, may not be made available under penalty of law.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are concerned about using the website listed below, go to http://www.firstgov.gov and search for "free credit report". You will get a link to the annual credit report site from there (All sites ending in .gov are federal government sites so can be trusted). For more information, see the government link below.

First of all don't panic.
First. Check the info out on your credit report. Make sure you get reports from all three credit bureaus. Once you retrieve the info go through it and dispute anything that you may find incorrect.
In some states you can obtain a "free" credit report once a year.
Next, contact your probation officer on the child support order and request that they do a search on you ex. He is supposed to inform them if his address changes. This could really help you out and relieve any stress because that is what they are there for. If this does not work, request that a warrant be processed for his arrest and believe me they will find him. Especially if he is in arrears.
Contact you court in your state where you live to verify the guidelines of child support too. If you ex is evading payment you may want to have a hearing to discuss ways you can retrieve the payment you and your child deserves.
Remember, the search websites get their info from numerous databases. If you info is not correct on one chances are they won't be correct on others.
Best of luck to you....

Go to www.freeannualreport.com and you get free credit reports online from the three reporting agencies one time per year and check your stuff. Then you can also call the local police and talk to someone about Identity theft since there have been many additions to law inforcement agencies for this.

mmmmmmmmmm don't know what to say about that one? sounds to me like your x is trying to pull a fast one at your expense i would seek legal council and sue the sh*t out of them if it turns out to be the one playing the games! As always check your credit and dispute any discrepancies and make sure you keep an eye and hold on your credit you can freeze it if you need to!

Have a credit check done. Go to www.equifax.com and get one for free. If there is anything fishy, you can dispute it or have it investigated.
