Speak on a subject with which you are familiar. May care of cats, how to ride a bicycle, how to make a hot fudge sundae, whatever. Talk about something that you can be enthusiastic about.

I did my informative speech on the Alaska Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, but I'm studying to be a geologist. That sort of thing may not be your interest. I would suggest something that you find facinating and do a little research on it. Pick a hobby or a lecture in school and expand upon it. Sometimes you can turn old term papers into a speech with very little effort.

How about a speech on something you are interested in. If you are into soccer, talk about the history, rules, etc. If you are into food, maybe talk about Italian cuisine. If you are into music, maybe talk about your favorite band. If you really don't have much interest in anything, then you can even talk about your pet if you have one or describe your room. It's giving information, so pretty much you can say whatever.
