Java software is necessary to running certain applications and web sites, Lime wire installs it by default. You can uninstall it using the Add/Remove programs utility in the Windows Control Panel. IF you are getting errors with Java, go to http://www.java.com and download a fresh install of the latest version. I wouldn't remove the Java software if you do alot of Internet browsing

You can uninstall full-blown Java from Start, Control Panel, Add Remove programs. It should appear on the program list as a black coffee cup icon with red squiggly bits.

However, as limewire is a P2P client (filesharing) you may have other nasties lurking on your system, as these things are notorious for installing lots of other hidden stuff that's hard to get rid of.

I suggest you go to download.com and download AdAware and Spybot Search and Destroy, install and update them both and then run them to clear out any nasties left behind by Limewire.

And also update your anti-virus software and run a complete system scan.

which Java thing? Java is necessary even without limewire to play internet games like Yahoo games. so it's not that bad actually. and if you really wanna remove it then, go to control panels> add/remove programs> find the Java program name, click on the remove button.
