Earth refers to this planet. World could mean any planet that is inhabited.

Since we don't know of any other inhabited planets, the two are pretty much interchangeable outside of science fiction.

there is only one earth, as that is our name for our planet. unless you mean earth like soil, but that still doesn't mean world. there are many worlds, even inside this solar system, and then there are many solar systems in the galaxy... well you get the picture. anyway, so thats earth for you. plus earth is only the english word for this wonderful, oxygen filled atmosphere surrounded, rocky, earthy, cheese-filled, james bond inhabited planet.

or you could just be in north korea. thats another world altogether.

think about it this way: the earth is the name of our world. you know like in the order of the planets? mercury, venus, EARTH, mars...etc. they don't say mercury, venus, WORLD. A world refers to the realm in which one is in. that could mean what planet we're on, or it could be more figurative ex. "he's off in his own little world" It doesn't mean he's on another planet, it just means he's spacing out.

hope that helps, it's a good question, by the way!

Like is defined in terms of more of a crush or affection/fondness. Love is the outworking of your truest feelings in your actions and behavior. If you really love someone, you strive to put their needs above your own. You might do that too if you like someone, but it's not a long term thing. Good luck! Hope this helped.
