I'm sorry, I'm a little confused -- where are you that smoking is allowed in doors at work? Smokers should be going outside to smoke. I'm a smoker and I would hate it if people could smoke inside the office. Ick.
How did you get hired to do this presentation if you don't actually have the knowledge/resources to do the presentation? I'd love to know your secret for getting jobs for which you're not necessarily qualified...

Forget the air filtration system. It has been proven that isn't the answer. Just see the statistics.
Simple and effective; send the smokers outside, at least 25 ft. from the building. Hurting the feelings of smokers? Why are you worried about that, they are killing those around them! Most states have laws regarding smokers in the work place. These people cost all of us in increased insurance premiums, passive smoke diseases, etc. California is first in how they handle it, a strick no smoking policy in all work environments, restaurants and public areas. Amen!

Smokers are a health hazzard to themselves,a nd non-smokers. you don't own them an apology of worry about their feelings.
They as adults(assuming they are adults or responsible teens) know that smoking endangers the lives and health of non smokers and for them to smoke near them any way is shows their lack of concern for the non smoker and their true addiction to an over the counter drug.
We at work have a smoking area for smokers and if you as a non smoker go there than you are on your own.
If they smoke out side the smokers section they are subject to being first writtne up and fired for repeated offences.
Soon there will be no smoking at our company as the health cost non smokers are having to pay for smokers is way out of reason.
Everyone pays the same fees on both life and health, but the costs of smoker related illnesses far exceeds that of non smokers.
A good example is the law to force motocycle riders to carry health insurance in California because the majority of cycle riders in accidents (usually with head injuries)did not have coverage and ended up in long care situtuations at tax payers expense.
Soon we will be a no smokeing company and the company is now helping smokers (to quit)who down the road face the option of quiting or losing their jobs.
I quit about 16 years ago. Once I realized it wasn't a right , but an over the counter drug and a huge health hazzard it wasn' that hard. Losing my faher years earlier to lung cancer from smoking was a serious and sad lesson. a few years later losing two brothers to the same reinforced the idea that I made the right decision.

Create a 'smoker's ' area outside near the fence.
hurt the feelings of smokers???
give us a break!
What about death from 2nd-hand smoke? Are non-smokers feelings junior to smokers??
Be assertive not wimpy on this topic. it is serious - or you wouldn't be doing it - Right??

I think it's not too much to ask the smokers to go to the smoking lounge on break and refrain from smoking in the workplace. Then you only have to vent a single room, which should be much cheaper.

Non smokers have took all the smokers rights away. When will it begin to stop? I can not even smoke in my house no more, I can no longer smoke at a bar, in a restaurant. My parents smoked everywhere and everyone seemd to be ok, all my friends who had parents who smoked are ok. Please just leave us alone.
