My neighbors pine needles are dropping into my yard, I throw them back in piles across his fence, but he states that is illegal dumping, and he will take me to court. Any thoughts?

First of all, pine needles shouldn't be ruining your hedges, they are actually a nice mulch. Second, he doesn't have any leg to stand on saying you are dumping illegally. Third, you can check out your legal standing to make your neighbor trim his tree back away from your property. Finally, personally, I don't see anything really wrong with throwing them back over but if he is getting so gruffy about it you'd be better off to throw them out with your other yard debris.

Yes.. he is right. you are illegally dumping on to his property...... BUT.... he has no right to have a tree... plant.... whatever that hangs onto/into your place. I suspect that if he is not willing to correct the problem, you should call the police and get it settled... DO NOT dump or throw anymore onto his yard because that puts YOU in the wrong

I hate it when neighbors are so darned disgusting and it happens all t he time

Legally the fallen debris from the tree is your responsibility, not his. Sounds like you have much bigger problems than a few pine needles. Chill

just be a good neighbor and rake them up. why start trouble. it's not worth it. ........... he probably could take you to court for dumping in his yard if he wanted to be a _ick
