You are either confused or love him unconditionally both which can be very dangerous if he is hurting you. Get out. Stay out. Move on. You need to love yourself.

I think that normally true love vanishes when one tries to introduce anything unlike love into the realtionship, so the love you may still feel probably is not true love, but more on the lines of physical and material needs.

Love never makes a lot of sense, sometimes you're never really sure what you think of someone. Other times we end up getting attached to them when they treat us lousy, just cause its in our present comfort zone. You can either change your perspective of him and put up with it, or you can find the courage somewhere in yourself to walk away and leave it. When you are in love with someone you can't just stop loving them that easily. Just because you love somebody doesn't mean you have to stay with them. Sometimes a person is wrong for you, period. Never undervalue yourself , you have a right to be treated with respect. People can sometimes change their behavior but never their nature.

First of all how did he hurt you. If it is all that you have to find the answer yourself. You have one life and it is too short to be hurt all the time. You must love yourself enough to find someone who appreciates you for who you are.

love dies slowly... hurt happens instantaneously and the pain subsides faster than the heart can get over being in love. (Battered women experience this type of situation)

its truly hard to give up on someone we love, even if they have hurt us. depends what kind of hurt your dealing with, if it can be helped by therapy, and communication, or is it of the more serious type, where ones marriage has been comprimised.
