The song started with a male singer singing something that almost sounded like rap, then a female singer singing another part that sounded like a different kind of song. Lyrics included something that sounded like, (male part) "I get no down,..., I get no down,..."; (female part) "dancing the night away, dancing the night away,..., a tiny star,..., a tiny boy...."
I'm really not sure of the words because it was really hard to hear the words. I really liked the tune.

Yeah it's Tubthumping by Chumbawamba. You had the lyrics partly right ;-) They have pretty heavy accents, so it's understandable. Good luck finding the song!
