Did they die in the begining when the girl ran out in front of them? Im really confused and who was the guy with the metal thing on his head and did the demon go into shandra at the end? Detail answers please!!!

I think they died in the beginning because when Rose and her husband where in the same room at the same time they couldn't see eachother. And i dont know who the guy with the medal thing on his head was...

yes i have to agree with u the movie was very confusing . at the beginning when the girl ran in front of them they didn't die they just entered that silent hill world full of demons. i don't really know wat guy ur talking about. maybe it was the guy who was like a monster too. the girl's, the one that got burned, her mother told rose to be careful wat u chose ur daughter or the other girl that was burned. at the end rose chose her daughter so the demon took rose i think.

I think that when sharron peeked through her fingers after rose told her not to look, alessa was able to get inside and take her over, which is how she was still able to keep rose in purgatory when she got to her own house. so i do believe that they died, but that at the same time becaus alessa wanted a mother (kinda like the ring 2) so she kept rose in purgatory, but let her go home at the same time.
