By destiny we mean the course of life of an individual. This includes1) PHYSICAL HEALTH 2) EARNINGS 3) HIS INTEREST IN BOOKS 4) HIS HOME AND HAPPINESS 5) HIS CHILDREN
6) HIS DEBTS, ENEMIES, 7) His life and business partners
8) His sexual potentiality 9 ) His luck 10) the nature of his work
11) His gains 12 ) His losses.
If you analyse your own life with these factors you will find that you had different ideas in each sphere but the reality is either quite different or not up to your expected levels.
If you sincerely think you will also find, that it is not the willingness on your part to get what you wanted but certain circumstances and events of life which have brought you to the place where you are today.This is what is called destiny

if you are just sitting there doing nothing about your life then...things will happen, whether or not they are destiny.
A person must be in motions and making choices to make the best of destiny. Some people blame destiny for everything and they don't take any blame of credit for themself.
For instance lets say that you are in a boat in the middle of the ocean alone with a bucket and a hole in the boat. You could sit there as the boat fills with water and you can pray or wait for destiny to take care of you. That is downright foolish. You need to take that bucket and start to bail the water out of the boat and if you pray or wait for destiny you will already be in motion.

I think so, if I wouldn't have been laid off from a well paying job at AT&T, I would never have been forced into taking a job for half the pay; where I met the love of my life... who is now my husband. Also, I may have startd at the bottom, but am now a manager at my job and make more money then I ever have.

We alone have full control of our own destiny. Things happen in our life by what we say, our actions, and who we choose to have in our lives, and most of all-the choices we make. Try to look at life as "stepping stones" to bettering yourself hopefully! Growth in life is only a plus. Without taking chances in life, their will be no growth.

Sounds like you are experiencing the syncronicity of all things. to understand a bit of it watch your thinking and see how it produces your life circumstances and how it also relates to your Karma. (cause & effect) what you put out is what you get back. Read the little book "as a man thinketh" by james allen.
