During pregnancy the blood flow to the uterus and cervix is increased. Sex can break some of the blood vessels and cause bleeding. If you are bleeding with a clear mucus like discharge, you could be experiencing "bloody show" that does not mean you are currently in labor, but if you are having contractions, time them. Bloody show can signal the start of labor within 24 hours and all the way up to several weeks. If there is just bleeding and nothing else, try laying down and relaxing to see if that helps. If it doesn't stop, call your doctor. If you are truly worried, call your doctor anyway. Good luck to you.

My doctor told me that it was normal to bleed after sex or an exam and stuff but if it lasted longer than a day to call her, but I am only 11 weeks. I have a pregnancy book and at 36 weeks it says if you are bleeding greater than spotting to let you health care provider know that same day.

Sometimes the cervix is very fragile and just got rubbed a little hard, so a little bleeding is not a worry.
If you soak more than 3 pads, or start having pain, you better go to the emergency room.

The doctor told my sister to have sex and she could go into labor. But as far as bleeding I would call the hospital OB floor and see what they say about the situation because you could be even though it is early but the best thing to do is call the hospital and ask. Thats what I would do!

Congratulations on your being pregnant. do not hardship, would not sound like you probably did some thing risky on your infant; notwithstanding, it does sound like you've were given began your perplexing artwork. perplexing artwork has diverse ranges, and it isn't going that you'll supply delivery with out understanding that's about to ensue. i might want to call the clinical specialist in case you contractions (sounds like that's what you're having) initiate to go back 7 to eight minutes aside and intensely last about 20 seconds or better. Lie down on your left aspect and word if that enables them subside, drink fluids. Time the tightening for a million hr, if it has no longer stopped, you sound like you're in early perplexing artwork. strong success!

You should be ok.. the cervix is extremely sensitive and it is normal to bleed after sex. Just monitor the bleeding if you feel it is getting too heavy call your doc.

you need to call your ob-gyn...bleeding after sex is normal...especially towards the end of pregnancy...you probably bumped your cervix during intercourse, but if you're "bleeding" and not just "spotting"...please call your doctor
