Thank you for all who answered! I kept telling my hubby it was the highest or further away and he thought it was the front. It feels good to be right. Thanks!

Nose bleed seats are the ones furthest away from the stage or field, depending what kind of stadium, arena, etc. you're at. In most cases, the seats furthest away are the second or third decks of an arena, where you would be placed at a higher elevation, which is known to cause nose bleeds, hence the term "nose-bleed section." However, I've never known anyone to get an actual nose bleed from having bad seats.

The very top rows of bleachers, Cheapest seats. They call them nose bleed seats, because you have to climb up so high to your seat, [you get more nose bleeds in high altitude]. Kind of a joke about the seats, get it?

You don't get a nose bleed from sitting in the front row. It's when you have to walk and sit so far up in the stands. It's usually far up in the upper bowl area.

Back to the nose bleeds...the furthest seats from the action. So named because at high altitudes one can experience nose bleeds.

The top of the bleachers. It means that they are so high up that you could get a nose bleed.

Top seats in the "higher altitudes", hence the phrase "nose bleed".
