he's just dim whit-ted so don't let him change who you are or what you believe in. if anything try to get him to open his mind up and accept people for who they are and not their skin tone.
please tell him that not only "colored people"(how old is this guy) were looting in Louisiana there was a complete rainbow but the media only played on the blacks because they were doing it in the largest groups. and i know this for a fact because i know some of the whites that were looting too. they lived in my rental house until they could go back home and they weren't ashamed to let you know what they did because everything was insured and the stores would only sell it as a mark down and profit off of the merchandise twice.
tell your friend to catch up with the time and stop believing everything the way it is portrayed on tv

People like that do NOT deserve to have you for a friend. get away from him and his antiquated ways. A lot of the looting that was done in New Orleans was done by white people

Do whatever you feel is right. Talk to him about it. Ask him - do you really feel that way? Ask how he feels about you if you are mixed. Let him know it makes you uncomfortable. If you do decide to become distant with him, just (like you said) don't become biased against all whites. We're not all irrational, racism is terrible and let your friend know that's how you feel about it.

Some people are just idiots and it has nothing to do with race, color, or you. If you two have nothing in common, I would find someone else to hang out with.

there's this quote. it says "Show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are." who you hang with is a part of your personality. he cannot make you prejudice unless you are already that way. if you have a friend that is a minority than he/she will be hurt that you are friends with a racist. would you like it if someone was racist against you?

He has his opinions and you have your own- we are all different. Accept your friend for what he is! or do what you feel is right for you- its your choice at the end of the day.
