Anyone can believe in God.

I think the following scripture says it best.

Eph 2:8 God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
Eph 2:9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

Anyone can be a Christian. All Christians have sinned.

Rom 3:10 As the Scriptures say, "No one is good- not even one.......................Rom 3:20 For no one can ever be made right in God's sight by doing what his law commands. For the more we know God's law, the clearer it becomes that we aren't obeying it. Rom 3:21 But now God has shown us a different way of being right in his sight-not by obeying the law but by the way promised in the Scriptures long ago. Rom 3:22 We are made right in God's sight when we trust in Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, no matter who we are or what we have done. Rom 3:23 For all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious standard.

Lots of people are homophobic and do not want the same rights for everyone. It is people who would say no you can't be a Christian for one thing or another, not God. He says come as you are and anyone who is willing should come to Him.

Some people in some churches do not want people to come to their church if they don't conform to their idea of what a person should be or act like. This in not God's love.

Sexual Orientation doesn't stop a person from their personal relationship with their God or chosen religion.

The Metropolitan Community Church (in full, The Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches or UFMCC, or more commonly MCC) is an international fellowship of Christian congregations. It is considered by many to be a liberal mainline denomination or communion. There are currently 250 member congregations in 23 countries, and the Fellowship has a specific outreach to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities.

The Gay Christian Movement was founded in 1976 with the Reverend Richard Kirker as its first General Secretary. In 1977, local chapters were organized, followed in 1978 by the Women's Group, and by the Evangelical Fellowship in 1979 and Young Lesbian and Gay Christians 2000. The name was eventually changed to the Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement in 1987.

Accepting Evangelicals
… is a open network of Evangelical Christians who believe the time has come to move towards the acceptance of faithful, loving same-sex partnerships at every level of church life, and the development of a positive Christian ethic for gay and lesbian people

Accepting Evangelicals
… is open both to

people who believe that the Bible does not condemn loving,
faithful same-sex relationships which are built on mutual
commitment and self-giving love.

and to
people who, although they do not personally hold this view
are willing to accept the integrity of those who do.

Do you want to hold on to God and Satan both? Satan would say sure, do anything you want to do.

We have to obey God's word and what he says on how to live our lives. It says also to be doer's of his word and not just hearers only.

This is an example in a way using a story. If you saw a diamond necklace or something you wanted...............is it ok to Steal it and think well, I go to church and I believe in him....is this still wrong? Sex outside of marriage also causes the Other person to sin as well.

You Can be forgiven if you truly repent. We have All sinned. Thank God for the chance to be forgiven.

As long as you don't interpret the bible litterally, like some freaks do. If god really cares, then he will understand. Hell, some people say that murderers go to heaven, and being gay is like, a billion times better than that. You need to follow your own path, believe in what you want to believe. Noone, no thing, no dumb BOOK (that is all it is) can tell you who to be. Hey, I have been bashing god for years, and no lighting bolt yet.

I think the two are mutually exclusive. If you are gay and christian you should be repenting Like God called you to do. Not repeating the same sin over and over and expecting God to " understand" why you are slapping him in the face with your disobedience.

Absolutely!!!!

I like to to refer to myself as a "Recovering Catholic", but this doesn't mean I don't consider myself a christian. I do believe in God, just not the one that some man in a dress on a podium (oh excuse me ... The Pope) tells me to be believe in. Just look for another church ... United is very welcoming to the gay community!

Sure you can.
Simply because your personal interpretation doesn't agree with it does not mean your interpretation is the "correct" one.
Belief.....That's not for you or anyone else to judge.
As far as simply "going to Church"? Does Going to a Garage make you a Car?

yes, of course you can. many of us are Christian, and many churches welcome us with open arms. why? because real Christians are loving and accepting, not the "fake" Christians who are hypocritical bigots. there are many churches in my city (St. Louis) that have large numbers of gays/lesbians in their congregations. God created and loves us all!

I think you can be Gay and still believe in God, and worship in anyway that you feel is appropriate.
