So many people take everything as a personal insult, where as there are so many different personalities in the world. Are people just being petty? Can't people just live a little and loosen up, life is way to short to have an embellism everytime some one posts a silly question or answer.

Maybe on Yahoo. Most people these days are trying to make a joke of everything. Most commericials on t.v. rely on fantasy humor to sell products and it becomes annoying. Everything can't be funny. I have a great sense of humor but I deal with everyone thinking they can make a joke of everything. The sad part is when you try to be serious people don't know when to turn off the comedy routine. I think America has become a nation of jokers and don't know when to turn it off for a couple minutes. After you hear too many jokes they lose their appeal because everyone has told them before. I sort of like the humor that occurs in the natural forms where you aren't expecting it instead of people trying to be funny all times of the day. Some of the folks on Yahoo do come across a little uptight but the other half come off as a big joke. I am not sure which is worse. O.K. a horse walks into a bar.....and the jew and the china man says.........

I don't think that is the problem this site faces. What is bad is the fact that the spelling on quite a lot of the questions is so bad no one can really make sense of what the questioner wants. And some of the sentences sound like Ebonics. No form, no plot, no sense. And the word you were trying to spell without using spell-check is embolism, not embellism.
