I am currently in nursing school, and we are definately in the same boat with exams! There are 4 answers to choose from and probably 3 of them will be correct and we have to choose the MOST correct. The test questions are in nclex format, so the thing that has helped me the most is to take nclex practice questions. The text book I have (fundamental of nursing) has a CD that came with it and it has practice questions for each chapter and that has helped me greatly. Also there are usually some distractors in the question that will have nothing to do with the answer. Cross those out and underline any important information. That has helped me so far.

been there, done that 16 years ago. 1) if you can possibly get actual working experience, that will help tremendously!! 2) school and reality are NOT the same, and last but not least 3) if you paid attention and did fairly well in school, you will do fine. The test will be multiple choice, if you paid any attention at all in class/clinic you will be able to eliminate one-two answers immediately, so if you are not sure then you will have a 50/50 chance.
When I took boards, the focus was on breast cancer and drug side effects it seemed, every year it changes. What I do strongly suggest is that you know your drug calculations backwards and forwards (drip factors, MG's to g's, etc).
Good luck! All you can do is go on what you know, NO AMOUNT of last minute studying is going to help.

even though it is application, it is still by the book.
never relate your answers to what you have been experiencing or practicing in your hospital as student nurse.
secondly, look for the most moral answer
lastly, feel the answer

based on the survery,
usually the longest choice is the right answer!
usually "C' is the right answer!
most of the time, the 1st true or false question is a TRUE statement
