Quite honestly it is best to have no EQ setting at all as you will get a cleaner whole sound with minimal distortion. Especially with those crap headphones

well the ipod doesnt have custom eq which is a major lack but hmm try flat if you have some good headphones OR higher treble.

I would recommend Dance, as it makes all genres sound high pitch with a great bass and treble. You can try others too, but most of them will focus on one or max. two genres (i.e. bass boost will make hiphop songs sound really well, but certainly not new age or trance.).

i use 'loudness' thats the best, with acoustic second.. try them all and find the one you like... also if you buy a pair of GRADO S60 Headphones, they will make it sound brilliant!!
