The truth will set you free!
Seriously, though. What else are you going to do?
You are straight so I am assuming you wouldn't go out with him.
Just tell him you are straight but he is your best friend and that is all and you support him no matter what.

Look dear,i don't know who r u,I don't know that u'r male or female but what I want to tell is ...If u r a Christian Please keep in the prayer.I will tell u a real story of this praposals and all.My own sister did love marriage with out telling to my parents. After that she went with the husband but she don't know what is happening with us in the society. All Street members all friends ,family members, relatives use to ask abt my sister. My parents use to cry for my sister and abt there words .even i faced alot.If u r a male and thinking to use that girl /boy.Please don't do that kind of mistake and spoil u'r life.It may be easy to u but some girls/boys will take seriously and they may die for that. What ever u take a decision abt love and marriage take after 23 years .Then only it will be right.I know u r facing a big problem but think wise and concentrate on u'r studies as all other childeren are doing and standing for there dreams.thank u .bye

Tell him the truth, you are or are not interested in him that way but hope that you can or cannot remain friends. Seems simple enough to me.

MUD has it right. Your friend declared, now you have to declare. "I'm straight, but our sexual orientation shouldn't affect our friendship at all. So let's not bring it up anymore."
