I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that he had Marfans Syndrome. This condition usually causes the person to be excessively tall and thin with long arms, legs and fingers in relationship to the rest of the body. They also have problems with nearsightedness, and many cardiac problems such as mitral valve prolapse.It is a connective tissue disorder so it can cause problems with anything related to this.

Well, I know for a fact he had syphilis, it also made him crazy. He and his wife kept passing it back and forth to each other
