If the cousin is your first cousin, his baby is your first cousin once removed. The baby will be second cousin to YOUR kids.
Second cousins are descendants of your great aunts/uncles, not your aunts and uncles.
This topic is apparently confusing for a lot of people!

Your cousin. If it is your first cousin that has the baby, the baby is your second cousin. If your cousin is your second cousin, the baby is your third cousin - and so on and so on.

I have a question first, you said "if your cousins wife has a baby".
Does this mean your cousin is not having a baby too, whose the father?.
if its your cousins too it would make it a 2nd cousin. :))

Assuming your cousin is your first cousin (son or daughter of your mother or father's sibling) then his child is your second cousin.
