ok, how come that big guy from KOQ is married to the beautiful litheness that is Carrie. Oh, it's the same reason Ray is married to Deborah, right? The TV tells us that lazy drunk men will marry georgous women? This is the subtle underpinnings of some sinister force.

I watch both shows.... don't see how Ray or Doug are either drunk or lazy. Seems to me they're just regular husbands....both hold down good jobs, play sports, watch tv, have a couple beers now and then... and put more effort into NOT helping out around the house than what it would take to just help out in the first place,... that's not lazy,... lol, its typical. And thats the point of both shows.

No, actually I would assume that it's trying to put two different characters into a limited space. Obviously the KOQ guy isn't going to marry carrie in most circumstances in rl life, but they're just trying to add comedy to the show through the confrontations of the two different personalities and physicalities.

This is a common sitcom ploy. Realistically it is because the TV execs want to attract male viewers to these 'blue collar' shows and a little T&A never hurts.

The irony is that the fat actors who play these parts are rich and famous so they actually DO get hot chicks in real life.

they actually have the episode where it shows where they came together, but you never know, that could happen. i think that is the only unrealistic thing about the show. i like though how they drive a crap car, he has a ups like job, and they live in a little house. i think that show is funny.
