you want to know the secret? no one will tell you. They say "study"
Bull crap.
You make A's in college by taking subjects that have only one answer per question.
So to make A's in college you would take math, chemestry, accounting, physics, biology, etc. In these classes you either know the answer or you don't. I'm not saying these are easy subjects, I'm only telling you how to get A's. To get an A you need a subject that actually has a DEFINED answer.
and you avoid subject that don't have a single answer. where you write "papers" etc. AVOID English, history, humanities, art, music etc. All subject which are tested by papers and your "argument."

Well, my brother went to college this year and I've learned many things from him, as in what NOT to do! Do'nt value your social life over your studies. That's very important. And another thing, do not stay up until 2 in the morning doing homework. Staying up so late is usually due to hanging with friends too much.

Study hard, do all your homework even if it isn't collected, go to every single class session (no sleeping in!) and go to your professors' office hours at least every couple weeks. Ask questions in class and make sure your professors know who you are (without being obnoxious).
A prof would be more likely to give a student they know and like the benefit of the doubt on a B+/A- grade than someone they only know as a name on the class roster.

I have 3 degrees and I'm now working on my doctorate. Who cares about straight A's!!! In undergrad, a B or C will still get you the same bachelors degree and a B will still get you the master's degree! Just pass!!!

There are three S's. Study, sleep, and social. Unfortunately, you can only do two. So you have to decide if you want a social life or sleep. You can mix and match but all end up suffering. Good luck, it is hard to do.
