It's easy if you have a Bachelor's degree and a TESL certificate that included supervised teaching practice. If you don't have those two things you'll have a harder time finding a job, and when you do find a job you'll have much worse working conditions and lower pay.

When I decided I wanted to teach overseas I waited until I finished my BA (actually, I left the morning after my grad ceremony) and then enrolled in a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA). I did the CELTA in Barcelona and then moved to Italy to find work. I researched my family history before I left and was able to obtain EU citizenship. If you're not an EU citizen you'll mainly be looking for jobs in Asia, with a small chance of finding one in South America.
