Whats the best way to cheer someone up when they are always depressed?

This may sound like a sermon- but it's true.

Really prayer is the only way. Once you realize that God loves you and he created you because he loves you infinitely- everything goes away.

You can't say, "no one loves me" or "I have no purpose in life" or "i'm stupid" because God made us all in his image and likeness- no one is stupid. And we all have a purpose in life- to know, love and serve God in this world and be happy with him forever in the next.

God loves you so much he sent his only son to die for you- isn't that enough to make anyone happy and feel loved?

Hope this helps! :)

Love,
MaryAnna

Be upbeat and generally happy, but not unnatural. In other words, don't be affected by their constant depression. Maybe they need more attention, or have been going through a tough time. Include them in decisions and conversations. Don't gang up on them, but don't pity them. When you're in a group of friends who are wondering where to go hang out, ask for their opinion. "Hey, ___, where do you think we should go?" Make them feel essential and included. Be open and ask what's going on. Tell them you're always there for them and are willing to talk it out with them and help fix whatever is going on. Smile often, they might want to as well! I hope I helped, and good luck.
