Voting does not do any good if the U.S. Supreme Court won't allow the votes to be counted. If that's your point about Florida, 2000, then I agree.

Voting doesn't do any good when the U.S. Supreme Court doesn't do it's job right in regards to interpretting the U.S. Constitution. A couple of times now the Supreme Dictators have proclaimed, "Our obligation is to define the liberty of all, not to mandate our own moral code." That statement is absolutely false and completely hypocritical. Whenever those Justices come up with a different definition of "liberty" than any legislature has and which is not found in the U.S. Constitution, then there is no point in any of us voting.

I'm wondering exactly what you THINK happened to the votes in Florida in 2000. Do you mean that some people were too STUPID to vote correctly (make sure the chad was all the way off, only vote for ONE candidate etc)? If so, hopefully those people would have studied their method of voting and will be able to do it correctly this time.

The system offered in the USA is the best available, anywhere in the world. It is far from perfect and there are others who would like to see our system destroyed.

Suggest you take a few moments and Google "The Trilateral Commission" (without the quotes). They are a group of bankers and rich folk who want to take over the world via $$$. And, they are doing a nice job of it. Check out past and present members! You will see a lot of names you already know, many of them are politicians of every party!

So, yes, vote for the candidate of your choice, but first look into TTC. It could be worth your time.

If you vote and your vote is stolen then at least you have a chance of being part of exposing the corruption. If you don't vote then those would be thieves do nothing wrong (until they get into power and renege on what they promise).

The more involved you get with the political system the better you contribute to democracy (the real democracy where the government represents the people).

My God are we still on this? The only thing that happened in the Florida 2000 election is that we were told that a huge number of Democrats were to stupid to vote correctly. After all what could be harder than sticking a sharp metal object through a perforation on a piece of paper. " I tried but could only dimple it". It must be evil Republican super paper. Give me a break. It was a bunch of crybaby crap from a losing candidate and his supporters.

Not sure that I understand your question?
Namely - do I think voting will do any good, for what?
We (the public) do not really know all the story of the FL situation - only what was allowed to be told - and we don't even know who was allowing the information that we did get!
I would vote - only so you can say that you did the best that was available - to speak your wishes. . .

Sadly you failed your history lessons!
The count was done three times with so much press there from around the world and even after the U.S. Supreme Court restored the Florida State Constitution Mr. Bush still won the election!
I do not know where you live but please vote in this election and be counted for something other than complaining.

offcours that was just seriously exaggerated by the media thus creating a big deal not just in the U.S. but at the international level. Made democracy look heinous. It's critical to get it back up and going and truly have faith in it after all that's what we're known for unlike other areas of the world people are in fear to vote.

I am also having my doubts now with the new e-vote machines. They sure were in a hurry to get those things up and running. I am not that convinced they will work properly of fairly.
