For those that am implying that maybe it's the way I present myself, I am not a hoe, nor do I dress like a tramp. So, they can not even compare me to the video groupies they see on tv. The white guys that I come across, when they see that I am not like the video hoochies, they disappear......

I am a white man. There are two black woman supervisors where I work and they are both very intelligent people. Then there is a black woman I work with who may not be the smartest person on the planet, but she's not stupid. She's retired from the Marines. None of these women are ho's. Not now, not ever. I think it's partly TV's and movies fault for showing black women in that way, and it's also just plain stupidity. And I say stupidity instead of ignorance because there are so many people in this country who don't know, and they don't want to know. It's even partly black people's fault because there are plenty of black movies and TV shows that portray black women as oversexed and stupid, the same as those media produced by black people show so many black men who don't have a job and aren't looking for one. If you show that to people enough, they will start believing it's true - black people and white people both will start believing it. Have you ever heard a group of black guys talking about women? You can't imagine it. Depending on the group of guys of course. I'm talking about younger men, around the age of 20. I heard talk like that when I was in college. I'm 50 now, and I was at the gym getting dressed after working out when a group of younger black guys came into they gym to shower. From the way they were talking about women, I gathered nothing had changed. Black women, I think, pretty much have to make their own way, get a good education and a good job, and be careful about the men they decide to have a relationship with.

Unfortunately TV is corrupting viewers in all age groups but especially the young teens. TV stations broadcast in full colour every crime and criminal act they can get their mucky hands on. They promote black women as modern day slaves begging for sex (which is also totally wrong) and some men and young boys believe it to be true. The TV producers are, in my opinion, no better than the white slave owners of the past.
Just try to keep in mind that most white men do not buy into that notion and to keep your standards high.
And take care out there!
Cheers!

It's similar to people buying into the media's image of what is beauty. Some men [white & black] buy into the image of black women as they are portrayed in music videos and they expect them to be that way in everyday life. I've heard crude comments by some white men towards black women as if they view them as playthings. I agree with the guy above.. examine the white guys you date and find new ones.
It's one of the reasons I don't care for those genres of music. They're demeaning to women and those women allow themselves to be used that way for $100 a video.

Seems to me you need to meet a better class of guys. If you are dating guys that only have had experience with women from TV then you need to look for a more rounded fella. We white guys aren't all bad, maybe you're just meeting the confused white guys that think they are gangsta and want to have a status symbol. Where are you meeting these guys? Try somewhere else, church, the grocery store, even on line at least if they can type a sentence and know how to spell you may have a better chance of meeting a guy of substance.

Because they are stupid. I mean think about it, white girl don't got a body (a portion of them, not trying to be racist or anything, not trying to offend anyone) colored women(most) got the body every man wishes to do. Now, that is not always a good thing, especially when your try to get serious. Sure it feels good when you get a lot of attention from guys which means that you look good, but that has limits. I know how you feel, believe me. They don't appreciate the real inside beauty of colored women.

Because we (we as in humans) base our opinions on our pool of experience. If all men "know" about black women in what they see on TV is negative, they'll have a negative view about black women.
You just need to teach them otherwise =)
