The other day I read an obituary for a man that had inlisted in the navy at the age of12. This man served on three destroyers during ww 2. All of which were sunk, and the last time, he spent three days in the ocean waiting to be rescued. By the time he turned18, he had served his country for 6 years. Now let me ask you two questions.First, did he become an adult when he turned 18?, and second, do you think he was the kind of person that whined over having to pay adult prices? To answer your question,we are adults when we are ready to be adults, some at twelve, and for some, never. Your choice.

Pretty sure you don't pay student loans, an electric bill, a cable bill, a credit card bill, a car payment, a phone bill, a cell phone bill, a gas bill, real estate taxes, car insurance, homeowners or renters insurance, a water bill, a garbage bill, a mortgage or rent, and a sewer bill every single month. Don't rush to pay 18+ prices. Once you hit 18, you'll see what adult prices are all about.

You are lucky, where I live, we have to pay adult prices for my 12 yr old daughter. I think it's stupid for anyone to consider 12 and up as adults, 18+ yeah that sounds right.

When you grow up and behave like an adult is when you become an adult, if you spin the tyres on your motor away from the lights, do wheelies on the bike, chase birds, etc then you aint growed up me I'm 50 and I aint growed up yet. I'm still a kid.

Legally it's 18, but in the Puritanical USA you can't enjoy a glass of wine with dinner or a beer after basketball.

What a country!!
