I would go to a department store like Macy's or JC pennies. I dont know how tall the girl is so it might be hard to find a dress in that size but the right length. You can always take it to a tailor and they can hem it for you. Also, stay away from bright colors, horizantal stripes, anything skin tight, or with too much going on. I would stick with simple but sleek long black dress. Its the most forgiving! You can always buy a ladies tummy wrap or control top panty hoes to hide any bulge. Also, Fashion Bug has cute plus sized dresses at a low price.

I'm not sure what your question is. It's really more of a statement. You NEED a dress for your 11 year old. So what's your question? Where to buy a large dress that's appropriate for an 11 year old? Keep it simple. Go to Kohls or Sears or Penny's and shop in the women's dept. You must be used to that by now and have some idea as to where to shop for her. Keep it simple, she's only 11.

Try Fashion bug, Sears, Debs (Debs Has great dresses for good prices.) Ummm then again it would depend on what stores are in your area.
You could also try thrift store, they carry alot of one time worn dresses. Good Luck and tell her to have fun!

try a black knee length dress, black is a slimming color
also fashion bug and lane bryant has great plus sizes. dont forget to keep it simple, and accesorizes go a looong way!!

I DONT KNOW IF YOU HAVE A FASHION BUG STORE IN YOUR AREA BUT THEY DO CARRY PLUS SIZES OR A DEB SHOP IF NOT THEY ALWAYS HAVE CUTE STUFF T THE THRIFT STORES!!! GOOD LUCK
