Oh, jeez, one of the gang??!! Cringe....shudder.
I do try. Once in a while I will go to a normal nice lady thing like a bridal shower or baby shower and the result is the same. I wonder whether that nice ceiling fan lamp would hold my weight when I string myself up to escape the home decor/Muffy and Buffy are in college now ! talk.

thats interesting that you should ask this, i was just writing a paper on the 'hope for normalcy' as a thematic element in the films of the Polish New Wave

Kind of.
Like when i see groups of friends just hanging out and laughing and they seem so in sync together.
But then i remember my best friends and the craving quickly fades. I'd rather have them than be "one of the gang" any day.

At one point, yes... but I've found that normalcy tastes bad, so I don't crave it anymore. .

No, because the rules change as soon as you figure them out. I'd rather make up my own rules and consider that my "Normalcy".

I never thought of a gang as being normal. I think of normal as being yourself and not being what others expect of you just because they expect it of you. That is normal.
