We had our daughter 5 months ago and would like to try for baby # 2. I had some light bleeding every 28 days for 2 months and then this month I got a full out period like before I was pregnant. I also breastfeed 6-7 times a day. I know that with breastfeeding ovulation is usually paused, but since I have gotten my period back I'd like to know what my chance are of getting pregnant again soon.

You can still get pregnant while breastfeeding. Ovulation being paused is a myth. Depends on your body with how soon you can get pregnant again as well as how old you are. The older you get the harder it is. I've know women that have gotten pregnant again 3 months after giving birth and some has taken over a year. You doctor would be able to give you your best advice.

I would say you could probably get pregnant now, but doctors usually recommend that you wait at least a year after birth to start trying. Even if you had no complications and felt fine after the delivery, pregnancy is hard on your body. Good Luck, whatever you decide.

your body takes 6 months to actually fully recover from having a baby i would wait till your baby is at least 8 months to make sure your body fully recovers...your insides have to ajust to the 9months of moving around in small tight spaces...

Your chances are good, but you need to talk to a Dr. first because they like you to wait a year in between pregnancys

IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET PG AGAIN SOON, YOU SHOULD BE USING SOME THING FOR PROTECTION. IT'S AN OLD WIFE'S TALE THAT YOU CAN'T GET PG WHILE NURSING.
