Hi!

The water is pretty hard where I live. I tried several detergents, and I finally settled for Tide and......

BORAX

yes, Borax is my secret weapon. It makes any detergent work MUCH better and doesn't damage your clothes.

It is very inexpensive (and it also helps you save, as you need to use less detergent than recommended).

You can use borax to clean other parts of your home.

It is easy to find in grocery stores and at Target.

Try it! You won't regret it :-)

I see there is a majority for Borax. Yes, it helps in cases of hard water and removes the dirt and grime out of the fibers by a chemistry process. Use your regular laundry detergent and put in some Borax with it. It is amazing stuff.

I don't know if there is any laundry detergent that is especially for hard water. The best thing to do would be to add a little more detergent. I do all my wash with cold water and two cap's of detergent. Its worth a try.

If your water is very hard try putting some vinegar in the water then almost any soap will do. The vinegar softens the water.
