I had a relationship wit ha guy I worked with and it ended bitterly; He doesn't even talk to me anymore. I starting talking to a girl about my situation. I thought she was honest; and I asked her to keep it confidential. So she tells me a few personal stuff also. Well last friday she tell the guy about me talking to her telling her everything. He comes up to me and asked me why I was talking I said I needed sommeone to talk to. He said If I tell anyone else "He would take me to HR" Well my question is; "Is this something a person can get fired from"? I need some real answers because I am really worried about it. It's not like I was talking about him, more of myself; how I should deal with it.

ROMANCE AT THE OFFICE NEVER WORKS. IF I WERE YOU AND I'M NOT, I WOULD NOT TRUST ANYONE AT THE OFFICE. AND I WOULD NOT WORRY ABOUT HIM TAKING IT TO THE HR, HOW WOULD THEY FIRED YOU WITHOUT FIRING HIM. JUST APOLOGIZE TO HIM AND SAY NOTHING MORE TO HIM AND NOTHING MORE TO ANYONE AT THE OFFICE AND YOU WILL BE OKAY. LET IT GO AND DON'T WORRY OKAY.

HR cant act until it starts affecting yours and/or his work.

A work friend of mine had Molotov cocktails thrown at her house by her ex (who also worked with us) and work could (rightly i think) do nothing about it until the time came that work was effected.

To stop this happening- when you need to- talk to a friend who is outside of work (possibly someone who only knows you or you have met since the break-up), maybe a family member and if possible try and keep a distance from your ex during work hours.

Chalk it down to experience and as everyone else is mentioning- try not to dip your nib in the company ink- it very rarely ends nicely

I don't think HR could fire you for talking to a coworker about a personal matter even if it involves another coworker. They may recommend you restrain yourself from confide in coworkers in the future. Good luck.

you were talking more about yourself im sure of it, and if they have a problem with it, fuc~k em, HR is just gonna tell you both to resolve it personally, it has nothing to do with your job, its between the two of you, and fuc~k tht guy for being a jerk off and her, goodluck, muah muah, bye
